Default virtualmin login on fresh install

Okay, they don't come much simpler than this. I hope.

I have installed vitrualmin on a clean install of Ubuntu 10.04

I can successfully navigate to the login page. But I have no idea what the login is!

During the process I was not prompted to set any password or login name.

I have looked through the docs and other posts, but no mention of it (that I could see). I am clearly missing something very simple. Any help much appreciated.

you can use the login credentials for the server.
like: root and use your password already known to you

Thanks. That worked. Didn't think the admin panel would use my login credentials, but I guess it makes sense.

Cheers

ronald's correct, except on Ubuntu, where you can use either the root account or the first regular user account (it is based on the sudo privileges), because Ubuntu in a fresh install may not have a root account with a password.
