Hi,
I had a problem with an update in virtualmin and had to reinstall debian again. Now for some reason I can not get install.sh to work It goes through the process and as soon as it gets to Extracting templates from packages: 100% it will just hang there forever.
I actually installed this yesterday and had no problems. But today I cannot install it no matter what I do.
It is just hangin on the same spot constantly
Nothing has changed. I have reinstalled the OS serveral times and I still have no success.
Please can some one help me with this.
Well, the extracting templates can take a little while to complete... I've seen it take 10 or minutes, maybe longer when messing around with a low-powered system.
However, it sounds like you probably let it sit for a little while :-)
If you look in the install logs, /root/virtualmin-install.log, what do you see in there?
Also, how much RAM does your server have (you can determine that by running "free -m")? Are you on a VPS or a dedicated server?

Memory and network speed both have a big impact on the speed of installation, all around. I just noticed during testing on Ubuntu 10.04 that it's quite slow on a low-memory system.
