Hi all,
I'm using Virtualmin 3.78.gpl on CentOS 5.5.
In this forum posting: http://www.virtualmin.com/node/11411
Eric posted this:
If you create a new Linux/UNIX account, and set it up with "sudo" rights -- if you then log into Webmin/Virtualmin as that account, you'll see "Master Admin" listed for that account.
I can't get this to work, however.
I performed "adduser" then "passwd" for that user. I then ran visudo and granted "all" rights to that account. I even went into webmin user configuration and added that user account there, using unix authentication, granting them rights to all modules.
I can't login as that user to webmin.
am I missing something?
Thanks,
GS
Howdy,
Hmm... it may be simpler if you create the user from within Virtualmin, associated with a particular Virtual Server... and then once that user is created, edit the sudoers and add the user you created to there.
I believe the issue is that, by default, not all users can log into Webmin/Virtualmin. They also need a flag setup for their account that provides Webmin/Virtualmin access. The simplest way to handle that is to create the account as part of a Virtual Server.
