Unfortunately someone changed my root password so I can't login to virtualmin. I can login using my user account but not my root. Is there a way to recover the root password?
yes ask the one who changed your password
Why would you give away your root pw and not have other means to get into your box? and why would that other one change it without you knowing?
Yeah, ideally whoever changed it will put it back... but if you no longer have a root password, you'd have to change the password by going to the console, and booting into single user mode or using a rescue disk.
