Read User Mail Misreports Count and size

In Read User Mail, (I currently have too many emails to display on one page), so after searcing, I see, for example, ken.bizwaste (4.56 kB in 3), but when I open the Inbox, I only see 1 message in Maildir and one in Spam. Where is the 3 coming from?
