I have just installed with the original license the virtualmin in a secondary server (as a backup) and now the servers are showing this:
Licensed Virtualmin systems 1 Systems installed on 2
I assume then that a second install is permitted for a non-production, testing server. VM-Pro has many features that I would love to try out, but not on a production server. I know I could use the GPL version for the testing server, but I would rather test with the same version on both.
Should someone be notified that the second use of the license is on a testing server?
yes if the second system is a backup only / failover.
Not when used for Load Balancing though. Then you'll need a second license.
