Virtualmin Package Updates

Im trying to update virtualmin but when I go to

Virtualmin Package Updates

it just tries to load for the page but never succeeds I have restarted the server and restarted virtualmin and still cant get it to load the updates.

It would be useful to know what linux distro you are running virtualmin on, since it uses the package manager of the distro to update itself, usually. Does the package manager of your distro work properly?
