Webmin & Google Chrome

The Google Chrome (beta) is finally out for Linux desktops. I quickly discovered that Webmin seems to be treating Chrome as if it's a simple mobile browser. I get the stripped down, all text version - which makes the combo a bad choice.

Just thought I'd report this in case it wasn't known.

Thanks, we didn't know about this - Looks like Chrome's user-agent on Linux is different to Chrome on Windows, causing Webmin to think it is a mobile browser.

Since I don't have Chrome for Linux installed yet, could you let me know what the user agent is? This can be found by going to Others -> Command Shell in Webmin, and running a command like :

echo $HTTP_USER_AGENT

Here it is:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.249.30 Safari/532.5

Odd, that isn't on the list of those that Webmin considers mobile .. and is similar to Chrome for Windows which I am using right now.

Do you have any additional mobile user agents set at Webmin -> Webmin Configuration -> Mobile Devices ?

Oops, I did < AppleWebKit

At one time, that was needed to get my Pre's browser recognized, but I see that's not the case now.

We're good - sorry about the false alarm.
