Keep not only 1 copy of backup

Hi! I like virtualmin and webmin's schedule backup function, but I wonder if I can backup not only one copy, I hope it can save copy like mysite-2009-12-01.tar.gz and I can decide only keep how many copies, can I done this now ? Or, if there is a alternative way to do that ?

Yup, it sounds like there's two features you'll want to take a look at.

If you go into Backup and Restore -> Scheduled Backups, look at:

  1. The "Do strftime-style time substitutions on file or directory name " option under "Destination Format". That will allow you to format the filenames in a variety of ways.

  2. The "Delete old backup" option under "Schedule and Reporting" -- that will allow you to automatically delete older backups.
