Many of the domains that have virtual servers set up on my ubuntu/virtualmin box have email accounts with forwarding addresses. I checked the spam folders for such users today and found them empty. I have spam scanning enabled for the virtual domain. Is it scanning spam for the forwarding accounts? Where does it put the spam? If I forward spam to a yahoo account, I am asking for trouble!
How is the forwarding setup? Is it just an email alias that forwards everything? Or is it an actual email account that happens to have forwarding setup?
If the forwarding is occurring through the accounts .procmailrc file, it would be spam checking; if not, it's forwarding everything.
One way to reduce spam would be to enable Greylisting if you haven't already.
