collectinfo.pl frequently says it's "Already running"

Today I started getting periodic emails from collectinfo.pl saying that it is already running. There's an issue in the tracker, but it's marked closed with no comments: https://www.virtualmin.com/node/2876

Any ideas?

There are comments in there -- the move to the new forum/bug tracker caused some issues with permissions :-)

That particular problem turned out to be an issue with yum/up2date contacting the repository.

What distro and version are you using?

And can you attach the output of this command: pstree -l -p

I'm on Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. Looks like it's the same problem -- apt is timing out. Probably related to the 9.10 Beta release. Thanks!
