So, is it safe to turn Samba off at boot?
Webmin-->System-->Bootup and Shutdown-->Samba
I am trying to minimise memory usage and I am not sure (I am Linux newbie) if my VPS need Samba for anything....?
Could somebody shine a light on this please?

It's pretty rare that a web server would require Samba.
You'd only require it if you're using your server to act as say, an Active Directory Server for Windows clients (very rare except in corporate lans), you should be perfectly safe disabling Samba,
