Trying to find out how much Virtualmin Pro costs seems almost impossible! How much is it? (Looking for WHM/cPanel replacement)

I'm looking for a replacement for WHM/cPanel. However, I can't find out the price at all. I registered for an account, but the Buy Pro page gives me a permission denied issue.

Why is it so hard to find out the price and how to buy?

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us.

Yes, you are right. The shop is currently closed. We are aware of this problem, been working on fixing an issue with our billing system.

Meanwhile, you are welcome to install free GPL version and whenever the issue with licenses sorted out, you will be able seamlessly upgrade to Pro.

Hi,

do you have any ideas when the shop will be available again? It's a month offline and I would like to switch from cPanel to Virtualmin Pro.

TIA. Waldo

Sorry about that. I personally cannot give you any ETA. Joe is responsible for and currently working on changing the billing system.

Can we get an message when the shop is online? I would also buy Virtualmin Pro.

Hey guys, I am on GPL for a couple years and finally would also like to upgrade to pro but when I see that your shop is down for weeks I start getting a bad feeling.

Any updates?—

when I see that your shop is down for weeks I start getting a bad feeling.

This is understandable. However, you shouldn't be worried.

We are preparing Virtualmin 7, and Joe is working hard on bringing billing system back to life.

Your server productivity (if you were a Pro user) wouldn't be affected, as we credited all users licenses with extra days.

Sorry about that. We will do our best to prevent this from happening in the future.

Ok, cool - thanks for the info lila.

even its off-topic here, while we can't upgrade to Pro do you maybe know a site builder witch could be included to GPL - given virtual servers capability for easy drag'n drop website creation? I know there is one included to the Pro version but that's not available atm... any hint where to look is appreciate :)

You might consider WordPress.

It's available as an Install Script that comes with Virtualmin GPL, and once WordPress is installed for a given domain, a user can then log in and use a WYSIWYG editor.

There's WordPress plugins out there that can make things even simpler depending on your needs.

Note that we can't support WordPress itself here in the support tracker, but it's no problem to ask questions about it in the Virtualmin Forums, and there's also a large WordPress community over on the WordPress site and in the individual WordPress plugin Forums.

Thanks for your idea andreychek.

i was more looking for a smaller solution to integrate to Virtualmin so it will be available on all virtual servers created with that option. my server is semi private - got a couple friends on here who have their small business or startups websites and mails running on that machine. just a couple good friends I allow to use my hardware resources as plenty available here :) One of them has a new project and not much of technical skills so I was thinking to get something up and running what I can forget after setup and is ready for similar needs in future...

But all cool, I can wait till Pro is up again and meanwhile I will find something to integrate just onto that domain, anyway thanks.

I am trying to upgrade to pro because I need to install Node.js and I can't find any documentation how to install it manually. Can you please tell when the issue with the pro version purchase be resolved? It's been ages now.

Also looking for cPanel alternative. Have 5 CentOS 7 / cPanel sites at DigitalOcean: TWO are DNS only; TWO are for single domains; ONE is for 6 small domains. Wish to license for 6-10 users on ONE machine; I may get away with GNU Licenses on the two single-domains; I'm hoping to find something like cPanel DNS Clustering in CentOS or Ubuntu, or Debian or Virtualdmin. Almost ready for Virtualmin / Webmin / Usermin. However...

I am concerned that Virtualmin has (apparently) not fixed their pricing problem for months.

I am concerned that Virtualmin has (apparently) not fixed their pricing problem for months.

Joe is performing a very large migration, and he hopes to finish it either this weekend or at most the weekend after. Escaping Drupal wasn't that easy.

Overall, the situation with the shop we're all in now, is something we're going to prevent from happening in the future.

Besides we've credited all of our current Pro clients up until the moment the shop reopens, so there was no damage made to people's business.

Me, Jamie, Joe and Eric we all have been here for the past months, while the shop was closed, to fix bugs and add new features. I can say with confidence that Virtualmin project is actively maintained and developed. There is absolutely nothing to worry about.

Hello,

We are happy to announce that Virtualmin Shop has finally been re-opened, and buying a new Pro license is possible again! Now we accept both, regular payments with a bank card (as before), and PayPal as well (new).

Thank you for being patient, and apologizes for any inconvenience posed!

Special kudos to Joe, and all the hard work he's done! The official message from Joe can be read on our Forums and/or on our Telegram channel.

Keep in touch.

Kind regards, Ilia
