The HTML mail editor built into Usermin offers various formatting options such as changing the size or colour of text, adding lists and so on (see screenshot umin_mail_formatting.png
).
Of these, the 'font size' option seems to not work properly. While the other options lead to proper in-line CSS, shown correctly in HTML-capable mail viewers, the font size option leads to HTML akin to the following:
<span class="ql-size-large">This text was chosen to be large</span>
As the referenced classes are not defined in the e-mail body, the so-specified text formatting is not shown in HTML-capable mail viewers. One example of the full mail body of a test mail (+ some non-sensitive headers), is shown in umin_mail_result.png
.
Note that this issue does not affect the preview in the mail editor, but only the HTML mail which is actually sent out. I have checked the resulting HTML mail in the interfaces of Roundcube, GMail and Usermin - in all of which it did not show up properly.
Used versions of software:
Virtualmin version: 6.0.1 (
virtualmin-core
from http://software.virtualmin.com/vm/6/gpl/apt)Usermin version: 1.791 (
usermin
from http://software.virtualmin.com/vm/6/gpl/apt)OS: Debian 9
Browser: Firefox 72.0.2
If further information is required feel free to let me know. I hope that the 'Usermin core' classification is correct, as it seemed to be the most correct option of those available to me.
