Alias permanent redirect not working

hi guys, I have setup an alias to redirect domain.com.au to domain.com

Virtualmin is not hosting dns for either domain, that is done externally at registrar (same registrar for both .com.au and .com)

I have set A records at registrar to point the domain.com.au at the Virtualmin server and that is resolving no problem.

everything went ok with creation of new virtual server and ssl was re created from letsencrypt.

when i browse domain.com.au all i get is domain parked! (isnt this supposed to automatically redirect to the domain.com now?)

what is wrong?
