Using Exim and virtualmin

Coming from cpanel; Dovecot and exim just worked for me, one shared ip and ssl cert per domain. I see exim in the settings, with experimental in brackets. I understand it was orginally done for client but that was back in 2010 i think. What is the current status of exim and virtualmin?

Howdy,

We definitely recommend Postfix... Exim would be missing a lot of Virtualmin's features, and isn't something we do regular testing with.

Sorry, I know some folks do prefer Exim, but Posfix has much better support.

The good news is that newer Postfix versions support multiple SSL certs on one IP address, and that's something we'll offer support for (likely in the coming months).

Thanks for the update on postfix and multi ssl certs per ip something is badly needed given ipv4 (and that most of the net hasn't moved to ipv6).

Can i move safely to postfix 3.x without issue. seeing this "Postfix stable release 3.3.0 is available. This release ends support for legacy release Postfix 2.11. " and im on 2.10.1 which was released back in 2013!!!!!!!!!....
