When we can expect official support for Debian 10 Buster ?
CentOS8 is also near release (RHEL 8 is released couple months back), when we could expect support for them as well ?
Thank you in advance for answer!
Thanks for your interest -- we are planning support for both!
While I unfortunately don't have an ETA to share, we hope to have Debian 10 support here soon, and we will be testing our CentOS 8 support shortly after that. Note that official CentOS 8 support won't come until after it's release, but we hope to have support for it soon after it's announced.
Thank you for answer :)
Is there anywhere a pre version of vmin, witch may have already Buster support?
We need very it to Debian 10 :/ (new PHP and more...)
agree with that ! Debian 10 support
Some kind of news?
Sorry, no news yet, but we'll be sure to let everyone know once Debian 10 support (or even beta support) is available -- thanks for your interest!
I'll take a seat at this post to hear if something new is coming
Prod server updated to buster, i miss a updated webmin
Good hosting control panel. Really looking forward to updating for Debian buster
I am also interested in a Debian 10 compatible version.
We will wait patiently for this new version!

looking forward to it as well
Eric and I did some successful test installs this weekend. The installer is pretty much done and working well, but there are some changes in the version of MariaDB in Debian that will require code in the Webmin MySQL module, which Jamie is working on. I don't know how long that'll take, but hopefully not more than a few more days.
Check out the forum guidelines!
Thanks for the update and your contribution to making the installer work! As someone without a tech background and learning by doing, I have been using webmin/virtualmin for the past 3 years on GCP Compute Engine and is now transitioning to a home server. I would say the reason why I used Webmin is because of the ease of install.
Also looking forward to Debian 10 support.
Registering my interest as well :)

Waiting for an update.
Yes, please (Debian 10) TIA
I'll wait for update
Me too. Set up a new machine with Debian 10, now can't install VirtualMin yet...
Any news ?
Too much time waiting for installer :/ ...
Anything new about Debian 10 support? I tried to install Virtualmin on it but it's failing witn an error related to apt repository....
My new server is also waiting :)
+1 for Debian 10 Buster support. Thank you for all your supports and efforts on this! Clearly, there is a need for this support. Thank you! Thank you!
Hehe, let's not be too hasty, lest you guys want to be unwilling beta testers :D (A privilege I'll let to others.)
I imagine the feverish frenzy behind the scene and the amount of work it must represent.
FWIW, thank you very much :)
I'll be a beta tester ;-)
Just a heads up that it's being worked on, and should be ready soon!
Are we going to be able to upgrade existing servers to debian 10? I have one with half a dozen production cms websites on it
Yeah it should be similar to other Debian releases in that regard, it shouldn't be a problem to upgrade from one version to another.
It's a process to do so, and you'll need to schedule some downtime, but I do the same with my Ubuntu servers and don't run into any major issues.
Is virtualmin still alive?
Of course virtualmin is still very much alive...why would you think otherwise?
Any news ?
That would be great indeed.
Can we get a little more detailed update please? Is the team waiting on CentOS 8 before doing a release? Is it safe to use Virtualmin as-is, if we modify the existing install.sh script to use virtualmin-buster & virtualmin-universal repos?
I’m also subscribing to this. Waiting only for Virtualmin to continue my server maintenance.
Add a seat for me! ;-)
Best regards, Jean-Luc GARNIER
Hello, Somes news ? Thanks :)
I always get a kick out of the people who say "I need Virtualmin production support for this latest distro XYZ"...
And yes, I know I'll get bash'd for this... get it... BASH'd... : )
And we hate retard people like you ;) Go to trash.
We need the newest Debian with better security.
We don't said "we need". Just have a release date or know that is available give the possibility to plan migration...
Hi there is a lot of work for Jamie and co.
New releases of more OS , some BUGS and some Security.
I guess while the newer OS packages themselves also have some bugs. info about release data is hard, mostly in such cases for programmers they don't make it to that date, or even worse you get a ... product on that date.
YUP i/m waiting to for some, that makes live more exciting waiting waiting isn't it? ;) LONGER LAST LONGER... uh 18+
I have gone with Debian 9 on a new server to get things started (client was complaining), so i'm hoping to do an "in place" update to 10 when Virtualmin supports it, as hopefully that will be before we have to launch the site... but i'm not complaining - you do such an amazing job that i really can't face running a server without it, and i believe you when you say it's ready, it will be ready!
So please let's be polite and supportive here everyone? I guess not many of us pay for the "pro" version ;)
I also pay for the pro version, and because I expect it to be stable, I don't want the developers "jumping" at every new version of some OS until after it has proven itself stable and secure. Gotta laugh at comments that say "the latest is the most stable"... wow.
Not for joke making always new versions of Linuxes...
If you think debian's stable releases are just cut off the cuff and happen every week… you must have never heard of debian before. Literally every day someone whines that debian stable is too old, too crusty, too slow.
