Hello,
I am in a situation where clamscan is absolutely trashing a VPS I have Virtualmin installed on (processing eicar.com.txt takes around 50 sec and almost 100% CPU). I looked at ways of switching from clamscan to clamdDscan which is way, way faster and kinder on resources, but once I do that Virus filtering stops working, emails hit the Inbox undetected.
What I did was to go to "Spam and Virus Scanning" (under Email Settings), unchecked "Standalone scanner" and checked "Local server scanner". If I choose "Other program" and input /usr/bin/clamdscan it will also have no effect.
Am I missing something or have I just found a bug?

I fixed the problem by changing the perms: chmod 711 /var/run/clamd.scan/
I still see this in procmail.log though, not sure what is causing it: procmail: Program failure (1) of "/etc/webmin/virtual-server/clam-wrapper.pl"
