Dashboard Administrator's Notes

I recently saved a note to the Administrator's Notes section in my dashboard. The next time I visited my dashboard, all the notes have disappeared.

Please advise how I can retrieve my notes in my dashboard.

Are you logging in as the same user, or a different user?

As root which I've always done. I'm the only user who logs into the dashboard.
