Installation Error on Ubuntu 18.04 on Azure - [9/23] Configuring Net Error: No interface named match found

What does it mean by the above error?

this must be an install script error when trying to install on ubuntu 18.04. I used the same network configuration with an ubuntu 16.04 vm on Azure and it worked no problems.

I have the same happening on 18.04.

How do we resolve this?

Sorry i dont have an answer i stopped using Ubuntu in favour of Debian 9. I got sick of too many updates with Ubuntu...drove me bonkers.

Perhps try posting on askubuntu? That forum has some really clever cookies who I'm sure can help out...as I said I dumped Ubuntu...been much happier with Debian.

Gotcha. I'll stick with 16.04 for the time being :)
