Hi,
When I install Phpmyadmin script, virtualmin allows me to select database to manage with that script. However, later I create a new database not by using phpmyadmin, then how can I see it inside phpmyadmin? How can I assign a new created database to old phpmyadmin script? Thank you
sorry, I've not come across that problem before, virtualmin usuually creates the database for me when creating a domain.
there is a databases link on the top of the phpmyadmin, can you select that and see if it is thus listed ?
No Briand, it is not listed inside phpmyadmin. I know a solution which is to remove phpmyadmin script and install it again and choose both database. However, I think there must be another way to assign new database to phpmyadmin.
anybody knows this?
It's a permissions issue. You'll need to be logged in as the main server admin/root user. Then:
Virtualmin->System Settings->MySQL Servers->Manage->Select the database you want->
Databases -> use the drop down to select the right one Username -> set the username to the one that needs the permission Hosts -> more than likely will be localhost Permissions -> select the first one then holding shift, select the other permissions
You actually have to type in localhost or the host and select the permissions. When I left those alone it gave me an error, best to just type them in/select them.
