Hi Ilia,
When doing much work online I usually open File Manager in its own window to always have it at hand quick and easy, but when I try to do it now I only get a empty gray window/tab.
Why can't File Manager be opened exclusively in its own browser tab any more? It is really annoying to have to close the File Manager every time you have to check or do something else in Webmin/Virtualmin.
I always seems to have to go back to Virtualmin Framed Theme...
Best regard, Leffe

There is a secret technique to do it.
Hold Ctrl key while right-clicking on the FIle Manager link in navigation menu and click open in new tab, while holding the key. :)

Hi Ilia,
That doesen't help, I still get a empty gray page! This has been working on just right-click and open i a new tab before, but I don't know when this changed since it's a while using File Manager exclusively in its own tab.
Regards, Leffe
I will check that holding shift key will open any module without navigation.
However, you might not need this, as I just added an ability to 19.20-beta6: * Add toggles to collapse navigation and right slider on the fly
It will require one click to get more space for work and hide side elements.

Hi Ilia,
The space is not the concern when I want File Manager exclusive in its own tab, the reason why I want this is that I then can "move around" in Webmin/Virtualmin and still have File Manager active and ready all the time in the other tab.
The Java File Manager still works in Firefox ESR and is able to be opened in a new tab so i'm using it for now.
Regards, Leffe
Oh, I see now. The point is, the File Manager openes fine for me in the separate tab.
What is the theme and Webmin version do you have? What browser?

This has worked before and I cant say for sure when it stopped working, but I think this happened after latest Webmin update that also updated Authentic Theme.
Server: CentOS 7.5.1804, Webmin 1.894, Usermin 1.741, Virtualmin 6.04 Pro, Authentic Theme 19.20-beta5
Desktop: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, Firefox 63.0 and Firefox 52.9.0 ESR both FF are 32-bit.
I understand now. Yes, it's possible. There were incompatible patches.
Updating theme to the latest dev version will help to fix the issue.
If you happen to have unresponsive UI after theme upgrade, you can reinstall back Webmin package using
yum reinstall webmin
.Okay, I have reproduced it in certain configurations.
I will fix it.
..but not having empty gray page though. I memorized your initial request wrong. I meant, that the File Manager not always loading when opened in new tab, while default Webmin module does.
I bet you can no longer reproduce an issue with gray, empty page displaying?

Hi Ilia,
This issue is back on a clean install on a new dedicated server running CentOS 7 and Virtualmin pro.
The filmanager contents is shown for a few milliseconds then the browser tab gets all light gray. Is there some setting for this? I really do need to be able to open filemanager in its own tab.
