Hi, all my servers are displaying an update to Authentic beta (I did the update on a couple of secondary DNS servers just to see what is happening - worked fine I guess); why is that happening and is it necessary for some reason to update as I saw something about session security in the changelog? Thanks!

Hi,
Due to changes to the code, that alternates the way theme update work, you would see this message if
Check for Authentic Theme updates
is on, but even with beta/development option being off in theme's configuration. However, this will happen only once and later (starting from beta-3), it will respect user settings, meaning, if you don't enableIncluding development versions
it will not notify you about betas at all. I'm going to roll out betas every third day, or so.Changelog? Yes, sure. You can click from the right slider menu, the cog with drop-up menu and go to About Theme/What's new. You could also do the same by clicking
i
button on Dashboad, right next to the Authentic Theme row, when hovering.Or you could go to https://github.com/qooob/authentic-theme/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md
Hi, thanks for replying - so I will not update until a new Webmin version is released, this is what I should do if I want a stable train, right?
Regarding the changelog - I know how to find it and it's pretty obvious; but I was asking if there were any security concerns. Was asking if that might be the the reason behind the "beta updates". But I get it now.
Thank you once again Ilia and keep up the good job!
Very hard to say. I would say for now, that recent betas are much more stable, than bundled version with latest Webmin package.
Though in general, yes, disabling beta channel could provide you with a little more stability.
