hi guys, i realise this is a cloudmin issue, but im a newbie so i thought i had better stick with the newbies area.
In following the instructions on installing cloudmin GPL on debian systems (mine is ubuntu 16.04) ...
https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/cloudmin/gpl
/tmp$ wget "http://cloudmin.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/cloudmin-kvm-debian-install.sh"
myuser@myhostname:/tmp$ sudo sh cloudmin-kvm-debian-install.sh
Operating systems supported by this installer are: Debian 4.0 or later on i386 and x86_64 Ubuntu 8.04 or later on i386 and x86_64 If your OS is not listed above, this script will fail (and attempting to run it on an unsupported OS is not recommended, or...supported). Continue? (y/n) y Checking for hardware support for KVM .. .. not found. Make sure your CPU has Intel VT-x or AMD-V support
A short search on Google ...

Hello Himanshu,
VT-x support is still a feature request that we are considering in the future. However, I don't have an estimated time to share with right now. You can keep an eye on Google Cloud Blogpost where we announce new features and products for Google Cloud Platform.
I hope that helps.

Anyone got an suggestions on this one? I just assumed that if this works on AWS it would work on GCCE?
aha...i found my problem!
I inadvertently tried to install the KVM version.
Installing the "Cloudmin GPL for Xen" now works.
myuser@myhostname:/tmp$ wget http://cloudmin.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/cloudmin-gpl-debian-install.sh
Whilst this suggestion has no bearing on my mistake (as kvm is clearly in the other filename), maybe the filename in the repository could be updated to reflect its intended hardware...ie add "xen" into the name.
For example cloudmin.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/cloudmin-gpl-xen-debian-install.sh
However, whilst i can now install Cloudmin...once logged in i get an warning error message.
Warning! This system cannot be a Xen host : The kernel does not include Xen support. Perhaps your do not have the Xen-specific kernel installed?
Virtual systems cannot be created or added until this is fixed.
Is this a restriction of Cloudmin GPL or a problem with my GCCE instance? (ie is it because google cloud supports one of the other systems that are not in the GPL version...Support for multiple virtualization types -- Cloudmin Pro supports Xen, KVM, OpenVZ, LXC, VServers, Solaris Zones virtual systems)
Actually, i may be incorrectly thinking this...shouldnt there be a specific install for Google Cloud Compute Engine? (where is the GPL download for GCCE?)
"Cloudmin is our cloud computing control panel, to allow creation and management of virtual machines in an easy to use web-based UI. Offering support for KVM, Xen, LXC, OpenVZ, Amazon EC2, and Google Compute Engine,"
https://ajecreative.com.au
Same situatiuon here. I manage to install with wget http://cloudmin.virtualmin.com/gpl/scripts/cloudmin-gpl-debian-install.sh sh cloudmin-gpl-debian-install.sh
but I cant seem to able to login
also for your comment. "Actually, i may be incorrectly thinking this...shouldnt there be a specific install for Google Cloud Compute Engine? (where is the GPL download for GCCE?)" even bitnami can add virtualmin to deploy section to make life more easier :)
