SSL/Certificate changed for virtual server -> Copied it to use with webmin -> Connect to Webmin/Virtualmin-Site not possible

Hello,

I'm using "Virtualmin GPL" and added an virtual server. For this server, I've buyed an certificate from "ssls.com" an used it on my subdomain. Everything is fine...

Now, I thought by myself... webmin/virtualmin should use this certificate also.

So I pressed the button "copy"... Webmin / Virtualmin are both not more reachable on Ports 10000/20000.

What can I do?

Greetings Axel

Sorry for that post... maybe it's better to move it to "newbies"...

Actually the webmin is accessible by using, for example, the IP-adress of the server. A certificate-warning appears, but it's possible to log in to the server. If I want to connect with the correct (temporarily via internet on port 10000 reachable) name of the server and use the new certificate there appears a notice (within the browser) that a wrong protocol was used. And also it was'nt possible to establish a secure connection between host and server.

So, what is the problem?

Sounds like DNS isn't working and you're connecting to the wrong server.

Check to be sure the hostname resolves to the IP you think it does.
