Display of Webmin and Virtualmin

Hi there, My computer is not showing the display of Webmin and Virtualmin, also the websites that were hosted in the Virtualmin are not showing. I have tried updating the machine but it's not working.

Did you, perhaps, switch themes?

I believe the only Webmin themes that provide all of the Virtualmin features, including the ones you're asking about, are Authentic Theme (the current default in a Virtualmin installation) and Virtualmin Framed Theme.

Hi Joe,

thanks for your reply. We've thought of that, however, the currently active theme is already "Authentic". Also the limited options available to us allow only colour customisations but no full theme changes.

The following is the only output we receive when loading the interface: http://i65.tinypic.com/el4036.jpg

It is noteworthy that Virtualmin no longer appears in the top right navigation pane, where it now simply says "Dashboard" instead.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks and kind regards from Turkana!

That image link doesn't work for me.

It is noteworthy that Virtualmin no longer appears in the top right navigation pane, where it now simply says "Dashboard" instead.

That means one of maybe three things:

  1. You're logged in as a user without Virtualmin access. Check in Webmin Users->username to make sure Virtualmin Virtual Servers module is enabled for the user.
  2. The Virtualmin module isn't installed. Why it would be uninstalled, I can't guess.
  3. You're logged in as root, but root has had access to Virtualmin removed (there used to be a bug several years ago that would allow root to assign ownership of a domain to root, which would remove some privileges...but even that drastic reduction in privileges wouldn't do this, so that's not what happened here, but maybe something similar). Same advice as in option 1 above.
