Changing Wordpress default URL hosted on virtualmin generates access denied error

Hi

Apologies if this has already been posted, I have done a search on Google as well as on Virtualmin with no clear answer to my issue.

Essentially within Wordpress I am trying to change the default URL from test.example.com/wordpress to test.example.com

Doing this within Wordpress is straight forward and I have done on previous installs without Virtualmin.

The issue is when I change the URL within Wordpress, I get the following error:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server. Apache/2.4 Server at test.example.com Port 443

Obviously this is telling me there is a permission issue as it is on the root, but I am unsure on how to resolve this via Virtualmin

I am running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS

Any support is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.

Hi,

I'd be happy to diagnose, and fix your WordPress installation. I've installed, and manage multiple WordPress installations for clients. There are few issues I've not seen, and even those I typical overcome quickly.

Have just found this link: https://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory

More or less what I am trying to achieve. Website has it's own subfolder but that isn't reflected in the URL. Will give the above a try
