Creating TAR file of home directory .. .. TAR failed! cat: write error: No space left on device

Hello,

we have a problem with backups to FTP server. In attachment i send df -h list from command shell on webmin. I also tried to change TMP folder (tried /var/tmp ; /home/tmp and /dev/tmp) but nothing helps (also tried to delete .webmin file from tmp folder).

Backup failed! See the progress output above for the reason why. Total backup time was 31 minutes, 08 seconds.

Howdy -- it looks like you're system has 34GB available, with nearly 200GB used... it would be possible for backups to cause the partition to fill up.

What you may want to try is to go into Backup and Restore -> Scheduled Backups -> BACKUP_NAME -- and there, in the "Additional destination options" section, enable the "Transfer each virtual server after it is backed up" option.

I suspect that will resolve the issue you're seeing.

This option is already enabled as you can see in attachment virtualmin_backup

How large is the home directory of the domain mpv.intebo.cz that you're trying to backup?

Hi,

If desired, I'd be happy to provide a personal one-on-one session to see about resolving this matter. Let me know if you'd be interested.

Hello,

it's been solved meantime, there was expired licence. It's little strange but it works after renewing licence ;)
