Issue with Authentic Theme update

Hi there,

Virtualmin keeps telling me since days that there is an update for the Authentic Theme available which I should install. See screenshot. However, I can update as often as I want (no errors shown), the message remains. Anything wrong on my side? Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi,

I'm very sorry about that. There is absolutely nothing wrong on your side. It happens, because I added a feature to 18.49 that was still compatible with previous versions. However, after I released 18.49-1 it broke updates for users that didn't have a chance to install 18.49 on the first day. #787 - same issue

The easiest and the fastest way to overcome this, is to go to theme's settings and hit force-update button to run the update. The light-blue button will only be shown at the bottom of settings page, if you have git command installed. If not, please run in console apt-get install git.

Dear Ilia,

thank you very much for your reply! I am glad that it's not me who broke something... ;-) However, I just did a force-update as described (to Stable), but everything still stays the same. So this does not overcome the "issue", unfortunately.

BUT:
The solution in the given thread did the job for me:

I saw a "-2" on the next version name in my Webmin Dashboard panel, so i try to install the new theme version from the "install theme" tab with this url : https://github.com/qooob/authentic-theme/releases/download/18.49/authent... I just add "-2" to the name and before extension.

Oh my, oh my, oh my. This is true. Not working for release button.

To solve this hit update on latest development version. Actually it will be release as I haven't push anything to the repo since the last release.

Thank you very much for pointing this out, I will fix it in 18.49-3 patched release.

Hello,

I have the same problem and found this posting. Virtualmin system information keeps telling me that the latest available version is 18.49-7. I forced the update as described, but it keeps updating to 18.48. I tried the "Download" button but it leads to a 404 site.

Can you please tell me, how to fix this without overwriting the files? :)

Hi, here is the detailed information. It's very easy.

Go to Webmin/Webmin Configuration/Themes/Install Theme/From ftp or http URL, check the radio-button, paste the following link and hit Install Theme
