Webmin integration with Active Directory

Hello all,

Been trying to setup Webmin with Active directory but this has proved unsuccessful. I managed to set linux machine with active directory but with webmin I cannot.

Any help of how this can be done or any workarounds?

Configure Webmin to use PAM for authentication. If your system is already configured to work with the directory server, it'd probably be through PAM, so just telling Webmin to use PAM should make it start working. I am not at all familiar with AD, and it's been a decade since I managed directory server (it was LDAP, not AD), so I'm not gonna be super helpful in figuring out specifics of your deployment, but hopefully just knowing you need Webmin to authenticate to PAM will help.
