Hi guys, i have a problem with my new virtualmin. So i have a server and a subserved with scheduled backup, and i have exclude directories in the backup config. All other configs is default by virtualmin. When i starting the backup its working 2-3 minutes and after this is the server hanging. I restart the server. I have no backuplogs, so there is no finished backup on this server. The backup is storing on my local home directory.
CentOS Linux 7.2.1511 Webmin-Version 1.795 Virtualmin Version 5.03

Howdy -- the symptoms you're describing actually sound like you may be seeing some form of resource issue, or possibly a hardware issue there.
When launching a backup, you may want to try running the "top" command to monitor the system load average and process usage.
You could also run "dmesg | tail -30" while the backup is running to see if your kernel generates any logs.
Lastly, you could also review the various log files in /var/log to see if any contain clues as to what might be going on there.
Unfortunately, since it doesn't sound like you're seeing a bug there, and you appear to be using Virtualmin GPL -- if you had any additional questions, you'd want to ask those in the Forums. We monitor the Forums, along with lots of wonderful folks in the community.
If you post a new thread there, be sure to let us know what output you see while running "uptime" while the backup is running, along with the output of "dmesg | tail -30". Thanks!

Hi, thanks for your replay. Server is not hanging again so all is fine, there is a exclude directory problem in the backup config. The Homedirectory is 30GB big and tar cannot tar the homedirectory. I have try with the exclude variable in the backupconfig but is not working. With Centos 6 is it working (the old server) Now i open a new isue.
