Getting a ton of errors with the install script for cloudmin... not finding many packages. Have you tested this and made sure the errors are harmless ?

Howdy -- yeah we do test Cloudmin on the various distros listed as supported.
It sounds like some improvements can be made in regards of those errors though, both in the case of Cloudmin and Virtualmin.
Can you paste in the errors you're seeing?

Some (harmless) errors are expected, as the Cloudmin installer supports many different debian and ubuntu versions, and tries several different package names that have been used for the Xen and KVM tools and kernel.

Operating systems supported by this installer are:
Debian 4.0 or later on i386 and x86_64 Ubuntu 8.04 or later on i386 and x86_64
If your OS is not listed above, this script will fail (and attempting to run it on an unsupported OS is not recommended, or...supported). Continue? (y/n) y

What distro/version is it that you're using there?
Submitted by sgrayban on Wed, 05/25/2016 - 13:19 Comment #5
It's debian 8.. almost the same errorsize I had.

Yeah I know yours was Debian Scott... in the case above, resonantcomm is using Ubuntu, and the installation isn't completing, or even finding the Cloudmin packages.
I'm wondering if perhaps an unsupported Ubuntu version is being used in that case. There wouldn't be a repository for anything but the Ubuntu LTS releases.

Ah you are right. Looks like a license number is missing.
He should have opened a new ticket though.

Agreed, if it's anything more than "That Ubuntu version is unsupported", we'll move this over to a new ticket.
