VPS (Xen environment) issues with iptables

I know there are similar issues in the support database, but none of the solutions have worked for me due to the versions of Debian and Virtualmin being too old. How do I make iptables reload its rules in a VPS environment with Debian 8 and the latest version of Virtualmin? Any help would be dearly appreciated. It's also a Xen environment I'm inside of.

Howdy -- you could click the "Apply Configuration" button there in the screen you shared there, that will reset the firewall rules (and if any changes were made, will also apply those changes).

There should also be a iptables script that you could restart using System -> Bootup and Shutdown (and the advantage of that, is that you could also run that from the command line if you wanted).

Does that sound like what you're after?

This sounds perfect, thank you, andreychek :) I cannot find the wonderful script you mentioned though. Anymore hints, if I may ask?

Howdy,

Hmm, I unfortunately don't have a Debian 8 system handy... when looking in Webmin -> System -> Bootup and Shutdown, do you see any sort of mention of iptables or firewall?

If so, what is the exact name it's being called there?

I've looked up and down the list and cannot find any mention of something relating to those two things. I'll search for something in Google to create my own script but thank you once more, Eric :)
