How to add list-unsubscribe header to postfix?

Hello,

I am very new to this "list-unsubscribe" requirement from some providers. I have a domain in virtualmin (shared hosting with a few domains in the same server) which the owner uses to send many emails concurrently every 15 days. He is not a spammer as he knows personally all his contacts but those are way too many. When he's sending them his newsletter sometimes the remote servers delay or even reject his email because there is no "list-unsubscribe" header in his emails. Can this be added to postfix? And if yes, will this be system-wide? The system-wide option is not really an option since other domains are on the same server.

What is the best way of solving this? I know that there is software out there for mailling lists and newsletters however in his case this is not practical as he wants to be using his MS Outlook client in order to send those emails.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Howdy,

Ideally, this user would want to add those headers from within the program that's sending all those emails.

For example, if they're using phpList, while it doesn't look like that functionality is built-in, there's some details on how to do it here:

PHPList means that he has to use the application and not his normal MS Outlook 2010, right? Am I to assume that its not possible with Outlook at all? I have not used phplist so I don't know if can be used in conjunction with MS Outlook. All he does is to send ordinary emails but to many-many recipients each time.

Ah my apologies, I apparently overlooked your last sentence there which clearly states he's using Outlook.

I'll offer that newsletter software is designed to handle a variety of issues that wouldn't be handled when using Outlook... so that might be a good option for the long-term.

However, if they're wishing to continue using Outlook, the solution mentioned here looks like a good way to configure Outlook to add a custom header:
