I have a Virtualmin Unlimited license and am trying to find out the limits on the number of hosts (phyiscal or virtual) I can install the license on? Please advise.

Howdy -- thanks for contacting us!

The license is designed to run on one live server, but it's no problem to install another copy on a backup server, or failover server.

Thank you for the response. Now for my Cloudmin Pro license, I see that has changed...am I able to install on more than 1 host and the limit is still the number of guests (virtual machines)/hosts that my license allows?

When using Virtual Machines with Cloudmins, they don't all need to be on the same server, as you're seeing.

Cloudmin can spread out all those Virtual Machines over any number of host systems.

Those host systems don't actually need to run Cloudmin though. Only the primary Cloudmin server needs to be running Cloudmin. On the host systems, those only need to be running Webmin (which is free).

So if you have a Cloudmin 10, you could have 5 Virtual Machines on two different servers.

And Cloudmin doesn't actually have to be on those two servers -- it can be on any server you want, and it will remotely communicate with those two host systems using Webmin and SSH.
