License Error

Hi

I got a number of issues

1. http://**********@software.virtualmin.com/universal/repodata/filelists.x... [Errno 12] Timeout on http://**********@software.virtualmin.com/universal/repodata/filelists.x...

2. A problem was detected with your Virtualmin license : Failed to contact licence server : Download timed out A renewal can be purchased at http://www.virtualmin.com/shop

I can't update any updates on my server.

Howdy -- it looks like your server is having trouble communicating with the Virtualmin software repository.

What output do you receive if you run this command:

host software.virtualmin.com

Also, if you run this next command from your server, are you able to download the .gz file?

wget http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/universal/repodata/filelists.xml.gz

Hi

i get this software.virtualmin.com has address 108.60.199.117 software.virtualmin.com mail is handled by 5 mail.software.virtualmin.com.

In my hosts file i had the ip as 108.60.199.107, i changed it to 108.60.199.117, works fine now.

The file downloaded ok after.

All updates where updated now

Is there any other lines i need to add into the hosts file?

Aha, I'm glad you got it working!

My suggestion would be to remove that entry altogether from the hosts file. That generally shouldn't be needed.

If you run into any issues after removing that, let us know and we can go over that.
