Just tried updating packages and got the error below.
http://SERIALNUMBER:LICENSEKEY@software.virtualmin.com/gpl/rhel/6/x86_64... [Errno 12] Timeout on http://SERIALNUMBER:LICENSEKEY@software.virtualmin.com/gpl/rhel/6/x86_64... (28, 'connect() timed out!')
Trying other mirror.
Error: Cannot retrieve repository metadata (repomd.xml) for repository: virtualmin. Please verify its path and try again
Howdy,
It sounds like your server is having problems communicating with the Virtualmin software repository.
What output do you receive if you run this command:
host software.virtualmin.com
The repository is online now, so I'm curious if maybe it's getting an incorrect IP address during that DNS lookup.

Just logging into Virtualmin I get the following warning:
An error occurred checking the licence : SQL failed : SELECT command denied to user 'licence.virtualm'@'108.60.199.117' for table 'serial_ips'
The IP address matches the one received from the host software.virtualmin.com cmd
Joe tells me he knows why that's happening, and it should be fixed shortly. Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for letting us know!

I have 2 servers One CentOS 5 the other CentOS 6. The updates to Virtualmin 5 only show on the CentOS 5 server but fail on install.

Error: failure: repodata/filelists.xml.gz from virtualmin: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
I'm not sure what to make of that one. I'm able to reach the server with that URL, and it works fine. I'm guessing (hoping) it was a temporary thing...maybe try again?

Check out the forum guidelines!
Now neither server is returning any package updates, both are running VM 4.18 gpl
In virtualmin.repo
baseurl=http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/rhel/$releasever/$basearch/
Which I presume is correct ?
$ host software.virtualmin.com
$ software.virtualmin.com has address 108.60.199.107
$ software.virtualmin.com mail is handled by 5 mail.software.virtualmin.com.
