About disk quotas email notifications

My Filsystem quotas / email notifications:

Send email to users? Yes
Interval between messages 36 hours
Limit type Hard Limit
Warn when usage reaches 90%
Also send email to Me

It worked ok in the past for a user reaching his quota because of email

Today, after some users of certain domain complaint about not receiving email I found that their domain reached its quota.

No notifications were sent to anybody at any time.

1) What can I do to turn notifications on?

2) Are those discarded email lost at all?

Thank you

  1. For this is best to wait for someone from Vmin to come and give you a solution

  2. The emails will be saved on the servers (not yours) for few days, usually 1-4, and then try again. In case it fails to deliver again they will bounce back and the sender will be notified of failed delivery.

2. I don't think so.

From maillog
... relay=local, delay=3.9, delays=0.15/0.01/0/3.7, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered to command: /usr/bin/procmail-wrapper -o -a $DOMAIN -d $LOGNAME)

This isn't a Postfix matter. It doesn't warn those servers 'Try again later', error code 50x or smth

I don't know if Procmail takes care about system quotas

Thanks

May I have an answer please?

Howdy,

If the quotas are full, an error should be returned.

If you receive this error:

relay=local, delay=3.9, delays=0.15/0.01/0/3.7, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered to command: /usr/bin/procmail-wrapper -o -a $DOMAIN -d $LOGNAME)

Then I would recommend reviewing /var/log/procmail.log to see where the email was delivered.

Okay, thanks Eric.

And what about we didn't get any warning message?

I got some headers but no destination. clamd log hasn't info.

Folder: Bounced means the email was bounced as Diabolico had said?

Yeah from the way that looks, it should have generated a bounce email of some sort. Is it possible a bounce message was generated, but ended up in a spam folder or so?

It is supposed possible generated bounce mails were logged in maillog.

I didn't find anything related. Also in clam dirs
