Epel Repo shows several updates. Should I update?

Hello,

I activated temporarily the EPEL repo in order to install something and I see that running yum update shows that are several updates available. The current ones are installed via the virtualmin repo. Shall I use EPEL to update those or it will brake things?

Dont, there is big chance to break everything. I use EPEL to update software what in the first place i installed over that repo, like fail2ban or OpenDKIM as i didnt go with Vmin version because of problems caused by default installation.

What sort of problems you had with OpenDKIM? Do you know of a how-to link that describes how to change from the Vmin version? I tried searching but no luck.

First i installed OpenDKIM from Vmin but i had several problems, emails didnt get signed, then randomly was working and then back with problems. Plus i didnt like options offered by Vmin as i have my way of setting up DKIM. At the end i removed OpenDKIM and installed manually from EPEL.

But for you if it works then keep it, the main question was do you want to update from EPEL and the answer is no. Too big is the chance to break everything, tested in the past and was forced to reinstall everything from OS.
