I know there's a 10 domain purchase option. Does that only count for top level domains or does it include sub servers as well?

Both Top-Level and Sub-Servers count toward the domain count.

Howdy,

Yup, Peter is correct. Think of the license as applying to "websites" -- so aliases don't count, but all other domains do.
