stand alone mail server?!?

hey,

Im trying to get my head round this.

i have example.com pointing to hosting name servers.

The website is hosted there.

I would like to host the emails via my virtualmin box.

how do i get this setup and what/where do i enter the DNS MX records?

Howdy,

It's no problem to use your Virtualmin server just for email.

You would want to add the MX record at the same place you add the DNS 'A' records... where ever the nameservers are pointing.

One last thing.

I add the domain as the virtual server and set up the mail users

Edit mx Were ns are pointing and done?

Yup, that should be all you need to do... just add the MX records where ever the DNS records for this particular domain are located.
