email issues

Hi: I created an email account for a virtual domain. Ex. webuser@domain1.com

I have 2 issues:

1- I installed RoundCube; I can send emails from it and the recipient receives it. The problem is that I am not receiving emails and the senders don't get the email bounced back.

2- I'm trying to configure the newly created email account in Outlook, but I get errors: "Authentication failed.." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect."

I know the password is correct, because its the one I use to log into RoundCube. I opened ports 110, 25, 995, and 587 in my router. What are the settings that I should use when configuring an email client? (POP server, SMTP server, authentication, ports, etc..)

Thank you!

1 - Aren't you receiving email in general, or does it just not show up in Roundcube? What's in the mail.log at the time of attempted delivery?

2 - Are you trying to receive or send email in Outlook? You're missing port 465 in your forwardings, which is SMTPS. Server for both is "mail.youdomain.tld", port 995 for POP3S, 465 for SMTPS. Set it to use "SSL" connection, and set it to "plain text authentication".

1- Roundcube is working fine now. I am able to send and receive from it.

2- Outlook is receiving emails but not letting me send them. I get:

"The server for account "TMG Printers" returned the error "Authentication failed.." Your username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try re-entering your password?"

The password is correct.

2 - Try "plain text authentication". Postfix doesn't support CRAM-MD5 or similar.
