Strange formatting of DNS record

I just added a sub-domain to an existing server and the dns is michaelcalderwood.com, but the DNS records show all entries as xn--michaelcalderwood-vxa.xn--com-ffa

The site does not respond and I do not know where it is pulling the xn-- etc from. There is nothing in the templates showing this.

Any ideas???

This looks like an encoding for international domain names. Does your subdomain include non-standard ASCII characters?

No characters, just regular text. I ended up deleting the server and created a new one and it worked okay the second time, so not sure what was going on.

Odd, maybe Virtualmin got confused by something and thought it had to transcribe an IDN.
