Hello all,
I use a MS Outlook IMAP account to read/send emails hosted on a virtualmin box. I also have RoundCube to access my emails.
Problem is I receive A LOT of spam in my INBOX. Is there a way to have the Report Spam and Deny Sender Usermin features on Outlook? Or on Roundcube? Or a better Usermin template?
As the majority of my customers use Outlook, it would be great to have Report Spam and Deny Sender on it. Is it possible?
Thank you Rogerio
Anyone pls?
Howdy,
If you haven't already, I would suggest enabling greylisting.
You can do that in Email Messages -> Email Greylisting.
Also, to train SpamAssassin with spam, you can forward spam emails to spamtrap@yourdomain.com.

Hi Eric,
Yes, I already have greylisting enable for quite sometime.
I was looking at a plugin for RoundeCube to report spam, that could help.
So, using Outlook, when I forward a message to spamtrap@yourdomain.com is the same as clicking de Report Spam on Usermin?
I've been using usermin to report spam, and deal with other messages on Outlook. It seems to work, my spam folder is growing and my inbox is cleaner. If only we had a better interface for usermin... nay chance could happen?
One last question, when I train SpamAssassin it works for the server as a whole, right? It is not only for my account?
Thank you - Rogerio

Using Outlook or any other email client (including RoundCube), that's correct.

That's something they've been looking into. That'll take time though.

With Usermin, as well as with the spamtrap email forwarding -- training is performed per-account. It's not global.

Hi Eric,
When I try to forward a message to the spamtrap, I get the following message:
'spamtrap@intercode.com.br' em 08/05/2013 00:21 550 5.1.1 spamtrap@intercode.com.br: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual alias table
Do I have to create it manually? Thanks
You may have to go into Server Configuration -> Spam and Virus Delivery, and set "Create spamtrap and hamtrap email aliases" to "Yes".
-Eric
Hi Eric,
That worked, thanks a lot.
