HOSTNAME

Hi, I need to change the hosname on a live server, I think I know how to do it but on the page > Network Configuration > Hostname and DNS Client there is a check box "Update hostname in host addresses if changed?" Can anyone tell me what exactly this does, check it or not ?

Howdy,

Yup, I'd definitely recommend checking that option. That'll update the hostname in the /etc/hosts file, in addition to the server's actual hostname.
