Important logs are disabled

I migrated my server with this tutorial: https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/system/migrate

After i isntalled virtualmin and restored backups via command line, i started Virtualmin first time. Weird thing was, that that wisard didnt appear.

Everything seems working, but important logs are disabled: http://imm.io/NZan

How do i enable them?

Howdy,

Yeah, if you've imported the virtualmin.tar.gz file, that imports your previous Virtualmin settings. The first-time wizard won't run then, since your previous Virtualmin settings specify that it already ran.

Regarding your logs -- migrating to a new server shouldn't affect that.

If you manually look at one of those files, are they blank or non-existent? The file "/var/log/messages" I believe is used on all distros supported by Virtualmin.

Which distro/version is it that you're using?

Thank you. "/var/log/messages" is non-existent , using Ubuntu Linux 12.04.1

I'm glad you figured it out -- thanks for posting that link!

I was at a bit of a loss as to what might have caused that.
