root password problem... while creating a virtual host.

I get this message when I am trying to create a virtual server: Failed to create virtual server : DBI connect failed : Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

WHAT am I doing wrong? YES is not root's password. I can make it that.

That is an error message from MySQL, refusing root login. Did you install Virtualmin using the installer script? Did you perform the first-run wizard which asks you for the MySQL root password?
