Hello,
Running a CentOS 6 64 Bit, but the last couple months the server experiences very heavy traffic, so the web page is "hanging" 2-3 min before it opens...
The server is located on 1 Gb link, and running 20 GB of RAM mem and quad core CPU 3.6 GhZ... also running Virtualmin... whe the server hangs the RAM MEM usage is only 5 GB... so the mem is not the issue here... neither is cpu..
Can someone suggest what is the "best" way to optimize the Apache, PHP and MySQL ? I will not just change the "max_connection_limits" because it`s has to be done on several locations etc... any suggestions would be nice...
Thank You
Hi,
To optimize your server in the correct manner, one needs to first understand key aspects about what you are running on the server, where you are seeing the "hanging" and what changed before it started.
There are various reasons why a system will hang, but without critical details about your systems overall usage, it's hard to simply offer a quick fix to solve your problem.

Hi,
Received and responded. We'll take the conversation off Virtualmin for now, as to save them a little bandwidth...
