Push mail to another host

Hi,

I have a Virtualmin server running many domains, most of which I process the mail for on this server. There are some users who have their own Exchange server and I would like setup Postfix to push (gateway) the mail for those domains to another host. Ideally if possible allow the mail top run through SpamAssasin and ClamAV first.

Is this possible?

Howdy,

Would it be possible to setup mail forwarding for the users who want email at another server? You can do that by going into Edit Users -> USERNAME -> Mail Forwarding Settings.

Alternatively, some folks just change the DNS MX record to point to the alternate mail server. You can do that in Server Configuration -> Edit DNS Records. You wouldn't end up with spam and virus filtering that way though.

Hi Eric,

Not really what I am trying to achieve, but thanks for you comments. I need to setup Postfix for these few domains to be a MX backup, I need it to store mail for the primary MX until it can release them in the event of a primary MX failure.

I can't fudge the DNS records to suit as this is also my master DNS server, :(

Anyone else got any thoughts?
