How can I host two different sites on two different domains?

I'm not really sure how to how two different domains with two different sites. But I might have a clue, please correct me if I'm wrong on any part.

I have two IP addresses given by the VPS.

  1. Register DNS ns1.2nddomain.com and ns2.2nddomain.com pointing to each of the IPs on Domain register.
  2. Create a new virtual server pointing to the domain.
  3. Add ns1.2nddomain.com and ns2.2nddomain.com in the DNS record in Virtualmin.

My question is that do I change the domain nameserver to the 1st domain or the 2nd domain?

I'm really not sure if this is correct so can anyone please confirm this? Thanks!

Howdy,

Well, one of the questions is -- do you want your server to act as the nameserver for your domains? Or do you want to use a third party nameserver?

Most people would put both websites on the first IP address (that occurs by default).

Then, if you're looking to host your own nameserver -- you can follow the directions here in the section "How do I setup nameservers for my server:

https://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/dns/faq

What domain you use for your nameserver is up to you -- most people would choose the domain that's also used as the hostname for the server.
